under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the pharmacy technician is to accurately, and efficiently fill prescription medications in all rotation areas of the fulfillment center utilizing the necessary technologies for each area.

.

 

 

schedule: mon-fri 12:00pm-8:30pm

 

responsibilities:

-selects, picks, packages and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist in accordance with the specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.

-accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices.

-exercise proper hands sanitation and hazardous medication handling practices.

-performs functions &/or responsibilities of an operations assistant as needed.

-responsible for preparing and/or restocking the filling station with medications and/or supplies as needed.

-responsible for cleaning for all pill counting devices/equipment and general working area

 

 

what do we need from you?     

high school graduate or equivalent

six months of work experience as a pharmacy technician.

prefer three months of work experience in a pick/pack/ship environment.

prefer three months of work computer experience

able to utilize computer applications to enter data accurately and in line with production standards.

knows drug names and basic pharmacology knowledge.

understands medical terminology utilized in a pharmacy.

able to collaborate with others to fill and ship accurate and timely orders.

able to perform ops assistant (packer) responsibilities

must be able to stand, walk, sit and reach outward on a frequent basis. push/pull up to 15lbs and lift/carry up to 15 lbs.
