  • position summary:

     

    the manufacturing engineer is a plant resource responsible for supporting continuous improvement of our client's manufacturing processes. this includes redesign to equipment and part tooling to drive enchantments in efficiency, ergonomics, and safety. to achieve their goals, the engineer will spend most of their time on the shop floor working directly with operators.

    essential functions: 

    this role will be based out darlington location and will require infrequent travel to other locations to ensure read across of best practices across the division. the darlington facility specializes in internally threaded nut product. the production engineer work directly on shop floor to understand shakeproof’s manufacturing process in conduct “build events” with operators to strengthen our work instructions, setup diagrams, and tooling develop and implement tooling improvements to drive efficiency interface with maintenance and operations teams to drive ergonomic and safety use lean techniques to drive improvements in our process support quality team in root cause analysis of customer and internal manage updates to engineering prints, standards, or be back?up for mfg prod. engineer in peak build strong relationships with shop floor operators to understand pain other duties as assigned.
