job overview
we have an exciting opportunity for a placement student to learn the role of a production controller – responsible for delivering our customer requirements in line with the master production schedule (mps).
as part of the placement you will learn:
conducting administration preparation to support daily ipt programme reviews
manage work order release and closure in line with mps requirement
deliver daily lines of balance for each line replaceable unit (lru) within their responsibility
completing regular pitch walks to understand and communicate kit delivery in line with the build plan
manage and execute a dedicated project (to be determined) to an agreed timeline
support activities to drive maturity in processes aligned to continuous improvement.
construct and implement standard work / work instructions, in line with the management requirements
assist the materials manager and production lead in preparation for management and senior reviews
personal characteristics / qualifications
a related engineering/materials/project management degree
good influencing skills and ability to cope under pressure
responsive to change working in an environment of continuous improvement
demonstrable use of sap and excel (or willingness to learn)
highly motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills
