excellent opportunity for an experienced, qualified support worker to join our ofsted registered 4 bedded children’s home – rated ‘good’. .
we look after children that have suffered early life trauma, neglect or abuse and as a result have ebd, (emotional behaviour disorders)
we are looking for people who are passionate, committed and have a strong empathy for working with children aged 11-18 years old.
you should have a good knowledge of safeguarding children and the effects of working with children who have suffered trauma.
you should be able to provide support and responsible key-work / develop their independence skills, be creative, record accurate information, work from risk assessments, care plans and logs as part of your ongoing day to day work as well as contribute to monthly reports.
we will offer you ongoing training and professional development.
essential requirements
minimum qualification of level 2 working with young people or health and social care and working towards level 3
must also have a dbs registered on the update service.
