responsibilities and duties:
• repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications.
• determine material or replacement need and a logical method for repair; take appropriate action to meet the need and initiate the repair. test equipment to be used in the repair and test of electronic assemblies (e.g., oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, frequency generator).
• support the development and upkeep of procedures and work instructions. identify opportunities for improvement for designs and processes. calibrate and maintain test stations and equipment.
• understanding electronic circuits (schematic interpretation). strong knowledge of basic electronic theory and smt hand soldering experience.
• hand-eye coordination - must be able to handle small electronic components.
• knowledge of root cause analysis (e.g., 5-why, fishbone, etc.)
• mechanical skills (e.g., hand tools, drills, electric screwdrivers)
• ipc soldering and ipc esd certifications preferred (but not required). knowledge of proper esd handling practices. must be able to lift 30 lbs.
• computer literate (word/excel/outlook)
