a lovely family of 5 who lives in the golden valley on the edge of the black mountains, herefordshire, hr2 are looking for a long term, live-in nanny for their three children – twins aged 3, and a 5-year-old. you should have a full driving license for this role due to the location – a car can be provided for work duties. this is a live in role.

package offered

salary is subject to experience: £30,000 - £40,000 gross per year
private apartment with their own bedroom, living area, kitchen and bathroom will be provided

family background

a busy family of 5 are looking for a new live in nanny due to their long-term much loved nanny leaving to go traveling. this role is a mixture of shared care and sole charge with mum, the family are looking for someone to become part of the family and assist with all aspects of family life pertaining to the children. they should be confident to be able to do sole charge when needed when mum is away. they live in a lovely secluded newly renovated farm on the welsh border in a beautiful location. the family hopes to welcome into the family some pets, a dog and cat, and perhaps a few farm animals.

duties

your work will be focused around the childcare of the 3 children so you should have previous experience working with young children and toddlers.

you should be organized and efficient as you will be helping the mum with morning and evening routines. you will be in charge of the housekeeping duties relating to the children, including their laundry, ironing and tidying their bedrooms.

you will also be helping with light, basic cooking, preparing food and following recipes – one of the children has allergies which you should be aware of when cooking their dinners. running errands, some food shopping and school runs. you must be happy to live in the middle of the countryside on a farm!

location/accommodation

the family lives in the golden valley on the edge of the black mountains in herefordshire, hr2. a private apartment with own bedroom, living area, kitchen and bathroom will be provided. the family hopes to be welcoming some pets into the family.

days/hours

you will be contracted to 40 hours per week, working a split shift from monday – friday
hours will be 7am – 7pm or 7:30am – 6:30pm, with a long break during the daytime whilst the children are at school
with the flexibility to do overtime/traveling with them/babysitting as required and agreed in advance

languages

you should speak an excellent level of english.

special skills

you must hold a full driving license for this role.
