the role

be accountable for providing efficient and effective operational and people management duties including: -

managing agreed outcomes within budgetfinancial accountabilityensuring compliance with regard to all health and safety regulationsmaintaining agreed staffing ratio’ssupervisory responsibility of staff within the teamrecruitment and selection of staff if required

responsible for maximising the performance of the support worker team ensuring that all staff are clear about what is expected of them and are working to measurable targets and clear standards. monitor performance and provide clear and constructive feedback to staff. recognise and reward good performance, and address issues of under performance.

identify new business opportunities and work together with the team manager to develop proposals for new opportunities.

ensure knowledge is up to date on current and emerging statutory and legislative changes. identify and implement (with the agreement of the team manager) relevant changes to business practice that may be required.

assist in the negotiation of contracts and service level agreements on behalf of the company and ensure complete service delivery of contracted and non-contracted agreements.

responsible for ensuring that all relevant administration e.g. operational, human resource, financial, legal) is completed within specified time limits in compliance with company policies and procedures.

assist in human resource planning to meet the needs of the business.

previous experience in working with vulnerable peopletravel is essential so must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle insured for business usecomputer literategood interpersonal skillsthorough knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and childrenhave or be willing to work towards an nvq level 3 health and social care qualificationthe post is subject to an enhanced dbs disclosure, an employment background check, satisfactory references and verification of right to work in the uk.
