 duties and responsibilities:

machine operator/ general labor

set up and inspect grinding equipment in accordance with the standard operating procedures and checklists.

assure the defect eliminator is working properly.  inspect defect material for foreign objects.

manually check the temperature at final grind

load final grinder material into formax tubs.

assembly, operate, and disassemble all defect grinding equipment.

accurately documents the inspection of all defect materials.

immediately report any foreign objects to the supervisor.

box machine attendant

inspect box machine and bagging machines before and after shift.  report any problems to supervisor and maintenance.

turn on glue machine one hour before start-up and change code date on end flap rollers.

inspect all packaging material to make sure it is within specifications.

operate bag machine.  change bag machine tubing as needed.  assure bags are sealed and within specifications.

operate box machine and assure boxes are within specifications.  make adjusts as needed.

communicate with pack-off group leaders so that production has enough boxes.

fill glue machine as needed.

don proper ppe including cut proof gloves for box cutting

use proper gmps when unboxing frozen blocks and unwrapping plastic liners

maintain the correct frozen ratio and amount in the frozen blender

keep area clean

other duties as assigned

been able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

job requirements 

the job candidate must be dependable, detail-oriented, able to follow directions, able to work under minimal supervision

the candidate must be willing to work weekends and overtime hours.

must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
