1st shift material handler - united states, longview (texas)
adecco is hiring immediately for a 1st shift material handler with a local client in richardson, tx. material handlers perform essential duties with pay starting at $16.50/hour, plus overtime. in this entry-level general manufacturing role, you will potentially have responsibilities in all areas of parts flow, in and out of the warehouse, and shipping finished products to our customers, allowing you to gain valuable knowledge across the board.
responsibilities:
control parts flow in and out of the warehouse and shipping areas
keep receiving and shipping area clean and clear to allow for smooth workflow
assist manufacturing and other departments as needed
shipping: ship finished suresmile products to customers; ship inventory items as requested; update system with shipment information, as required
receive/inspect incoming materials, working with quality (formal inspection process)
work with procurement and quality to document and follow up with any quality issues of incoming products; work with the various ds warehouses to transfer in/out materials
process production orders to/from the manufacturing area and adjust ax
pick parts for production orders and deliver to production floor; update erp per protocols
inventory control and management (ensure min/max levels are kept, fifo); perform scheduled cycle counts in parts warehouse and manufacturing floor; inform supervisor of any related purchase needs

requirements:
experience with microsoft office programs like ms project, word, excel & powerpoint
high school diploma or ged
relevant experience (2+ years preferred)
computer literate/ms word/excel/ax (a + for warehouse)
good interpersonal and communication skills
