we are seeking a kind, nurturing nanny to join a lovely based in harpenden, england.

your primary focus will be supporting a young boy aged 2 months old. the family would love to find a nanny who is able to work on early years development and learning, whilst also fostering a sense of play and independence in the young boy. any nannies with a background in montessori or with formal childcare qualifications would be highly advantageous for this role.

whilst this is a very baby focussed the role the young boy has two older brothers (b10 & b16) who are based at the home. a nanny who is also flexible to oversee the older boys from time to time, as well as prepare meals will be needed.

harpenden is a lovely town with excellent transport links to central london (the train takes 30 minutes to kings cross and other major london stations stations). the family are happy to employ a nanny on both a live-in or live-out basis and can provide a spacious double bedroom and en-suite bathroom at the top of the residence, allowing for privacy.

the family would like a nanny who is curious and developmentally focussed, who can implement structure and be thoughtful and pragmatic.

the last nanny spent 3 years working for the family and they are similarly seeking someone who is looking for a long-term role.

this is an exciting role for a nanny looking to join a fun, loving family on a longstanding basis.

duties:

primarily focussing on the young baby (ensuring a healthy and varied routine)
collecting and dropping off the older boys from nursery/school
taking children to playdates and activities
daily cooking
maintaining the children’s timetables
packing the boys bags for travel
running general home errands ie; grocery shopping, uniforms, shopping, appointments, travel packing
creating a warm & stimulating environment for the children
organising and accompanying the children to activities and extra-
international travel with the family (between 4-6 weeks per year)

to be considered for this role you must:

have 5+ years’ experience as a nanny in a full-time position
have excellent contactable references
be fluent in english language
possess (or be willing to get) an up to date dbs check
