to assign tasks and monitor staff performance, decide on range and quality of meals and beverages, purchase or direct purchasing of supplies, to verify quality of foods, to ensure cleanness of kitchen and dining areas, to ensure compliance of statutory requirements of business, to check supplies or properly used without wastage, to deal with customer complaints and ensure customer requirements on special occasions, to organise waiting or kitchen staff, to coordinate between staff and the management.
