an excellent opportunity for an experienced air conditioning & refrigeration installation engineer to join a well-established company north shields, newcastle upon tyne!

the company:

they provide all aspects of refrigeration and air conditioning services to a wide range of clients. they undertake design, service, maintenance and installation works on behalf of clients and other contractors. there will be opportunities to work in a variety of environments on all types of systems including refrigerated cabinets, cold rooms, cellar coolers, vrvs, cassette or wall mount air conditioning, heat pumps, extracts and ducted systems.

undertake the installation of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. commissioning and decommissioning systems. working as part of a team. working away from home frequently.

candidate requirements:

proven & good air conditioning and refrigeration installation experience
fgas qualification (city & guilds 2079-11 f-gas & ozone depleting substances). full uk driving licence.

preferred but not essential:

cscs skilled worker card. nvq level 2 or city & guilds equivalent. pasma certified.

desirable qualities:

punctual and enthusiastic. uses own initiative. a desire to learn the necessary skills. ability to organise own equipment and van stock. good health and safety awareness. a logical approach to solving engineering problems.

remuneration:

competitive salary of up to £15.50 per hour, negotiable depending on experience. working hours mon – fri. working away from home - hotels (single rooms) & working away allowance provided. occasional weekend work. regular overtime. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays. extra 5 days holiday added at 5 years’ service.
