this role is for 1 year, working closely with peer support service changes (bristol) and cab to support bristol city council's cost of living response in their community based welcome spaces, on behalf of some of the city's most disadvantaged residents.
your challenge? to offer advice, guidance and support to individuals experiencing mental difficulties to enable them to access mainstream services and provision against a backdrop of significant cost of living increases. negotiating opportunities on their behalf will be important, as will carrying out detailed research into the statutory, voluntary and commercial sectors. and, when it comes to ensuring clients are aware of opportunities for wider community participation and social inclusion again, we'll rely on you.
to succeed, you'll need experience of supporting disadvantaged individuals to access and become integrated into mainstream services. you should also be great at networking/liaising with community groups and services and have a good understanding of routes into community based activities. well organised yet flexible, with excellent listening, motivational and presentation skills, you're used to working to, and meeting, targets. what's more, you have lots of initiative, enjoy investigating and researching opportunities and love developing and promoting a service. you can be flexible over working hours on behalf of clients and willing to travel in the local area when required.

this is a full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.
