family description and location

a lovely young informal british/european couple are looking for an friendly housekeeper and gardner/handyman to come and join their family. they have 3 children aged 5 months, 2.5 & . mum is a stay-at-home mum no there is no full-time childcare with this role but you will have to be child friendly. they family also have two friendly dogs which they care for themselves. they are informal and live in a 6500 sq ft house in a rural setting of 55acres of agricultural, parkland and garden.

they live 3 miles from gillingham which is a lovely market town with shops etc and has direct trains into central london.

• general housekeeping

• laundry & ironing

• tidying and organisation

• deep cleaning of kitchens and bathrooms

• family cooking (not essential but a bonus)

• general maintenance of machinery on the estate.

• dealing with recycling

• general handyman duties such as mending fences, touch up painting, changing lightbulbs etc.

• general security of the property

• occasional driving

• vehicle cleaning

• mowing / lawn care

• tree care

• flowerbed planning and maintenance

• strimming

• vegetable patch management and planning

• hedge cutting

• dog/house sitting

• walking dogs

• general maintenance

• weed control

• pest control

• wood working

• window cleaning

• household maintenance tasks during periods of bad weather. painting, corking, drains, diy projects etc

candidate requirements

it is essential that you have worked as a housekeeping in a similar role for a family and have a positive outlook with good checkable references. at least one of you will need a full driving licence.

days of work, accommodation and salary

1 bedroom cottage, own garden, own decking, underfloor heating – beautifully appointed and away from the main house – partners will be considered. not suitable for pets or dependents
monday – friday
40–45-hour week (hours to be discussed at interview)
2 evenings a month babysitting (not weekends)
immediate start but will wait for the right couple.
£60k (experience and hours dependant)
