Personal carer - united kingdom, bedworth, warwickshire

you would be responsible for looking after a 47 year old woman of african decent based in north warwickshire. she suffers from chronic abdominal pain as a result of multiple surgeries. she has limited mobility and requires support with manual handling. several manual handling techniques including the use of hoist and banana transfer board is essential as is required to support her during bathroom breaks and going back to bed.

the client is also the direct employer and she likes to be hands on with her care, she has full mental capacity and will give out instructions on a daily basis. a high level of professionalism is expected at all times while working for the client in her home environment.

she is currently undergoing physical therapy at home with a specialist and would require support at these times, she is selective when it comes to food choices and will have special people cook for her.

the client spends most of her time watching television programmes and reading, she also maintains a clean home and will expect a high degree of cleanliness from you.

there would be two interviews for this role and would be online via zoom or video call where a care plan and job duties would be made available to you.

the shift pattern is rota based and will have a night and living in house shift, the night shift would require you being awake for most of the night, and the live in house shift would be on a 4 days in 4 days off rota basis.

employer would carry out full disclosure and barring services check prior to resumption of duties, the cost of which would be deducted from your wages. the wages would be on payee structure.
