Financial controller - united kingdom, city of london, london

i am currently supporting a leading insurance business on their search for a financial controller during a period of restructure

the role will be responsible for

* review monthly management accounts for 2 entities on standalone/consolidated basis.

* review annual statutory accounts for 2 entities on standalone/consolidated basis and 4 branches

* automate data flows between systems, and automate production of finance deliverables.

* participate and be finance lead on projects with the cfo and other senior executives.

* review month end close entries of inward underwriting transactions (such as premium earnings, claims paid/reserves, fronting) and reconcile to source data.

* review month end close entries of outward underwriting transactions (such as premium cessions, claim recoveries) and reconcile to source data.

profile requirements

* fully qualified aca/acca accountant - or equivalent

* 10 years post qualified experience

* experience of preparation of insurance management and statutory accounts - essential.

* must have full right to work within the uk (no sponsorship available) - hybrid/flexible working available.
