location: can be home based if not located near to the offices(offices located in tonbridge or birmingham)

hours: 37. hours per week

salary: £35,000-£40,000 pa

as the contracts manager, you will take on the role of contracts managing residential insurance reinstatement projects and overseeing a small trades team.

you will be dealing with insurance reinstatement projects following fire, flood, escape of water and subsidence damage (up to £30k).

contracts manager role and responsibilities

working within a team (admin support staff, desktop surveyors, direct trades & sub-contractors);surveying properties to diagnosing defects / assess the damage & complete a reportyou will then schedule the works and programme in the relevant trades to complete the worksoverseeing the projects to completionensuring health & safety checks & paperwork is completekeeping track of the projects throughout and making sure the homeowner & insurance company are informed as to progressensuring the targeted margin is hit, within agreed sla's and completed to the customers satisfaction before passing it onto accounts for invoicing.

what skills / experience will you need?

for this contracts manager / surveyor role you will need to have:

a proven track record of surveying and assessing repairs on private domestic propertiesexperience in dealing with insurance damage (fire, flood, escape of water, storm, subsidence etc.)an excellent knowledge of trades and relevant costs within this industry and be able to understand / interpret and produce an accurate schedule of worksconfidence in using various it packages (excel, word, outlook etc.) training for the specific in-house systems will be provided.experience managing a trades team (contracts manager role only)
