adecco staffing is assisting a customer in medford ma staffing for an hr specialist! this position is an onsite role. ideal candidates have 2+ years of direct hr experience! this is an exciting opporutnity with a great business that provides growth!

schedule: 1st shift 8-5 (flexible)

pay: $25/hr doe

position description:

this dynamic human resources (hr) role revolves around providing quality support to company employees and will be responsible for ensuring that we remain in compliance with laws and rules & regulations regarding hr topics. in addition, a heavy emphasis will be on keeping track of, updating and designing and scheduling training.  the hr specialist must be approachable, understanding, and patient and must adhere to all laws, bond’s policies & procedures and communicate any potential risks to management. 

essential hr responsibilities:

  • assist with creating training and training calendar updates and scheduling
  • assist hr staff with pip’s and termination procedures and preparation of termination packages as needed
  • do employee orientations and setup and maintain employee files as required by law while preserving strict confidentiality
  • respond promptly to employee inquiries and assist employees with resolving hr or employee benefit-related issues
  • notify payroll department of any employee payroll changes by doing paf administration
  • maintain and update all labor signs, notices, forms and handbooks
  • assist with annual reporting and (external or internal) audits
  • organize hr events (open enrollment for benefits, training/development initiatives, company gatherings, employee “team-building” events, etc.)
  • qualifications:

  • a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in human resources or equivalent work experience and desire to get hr certification
  • requires an excellent knowledge of employee benefits and application of employment and tax laws
  • must be detail-oriented, flexible and able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner while working in a fast-paced environment
  • must have great time management skills to ensure deadlines are met while providing accurate deliverables
  • must be approachable, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships at all levels
  • must display initiative and independent thinking 
  • must have strong knowledge of microsoft office (excel, word, power point and outlook)
  • experience with timberline software a plus
