Pick & pack / warehouse operative - united kingdom, portslade, east sussex

we are looking for someone to join our e-commerce team working at our warehouse in portslade.

hours/location:

- we are based in portslade (basin road north) with easy access by bus/train/cycling and free parking

- this is a permanent position with a 3-month probational period

- full-time - mon-fri 9am-5pm

- you may be required to work a few hours on weekends exceptionally (between late november and early december)

key roles:

- prepare orders to be dispatched (pick & pack)

- receive deliveries and stock goods

- general warehouse housekeeping

- stock checking

- do some basic admin/data entry work

- other tasks depending on your relevant skills

required:

- exceptional attention to detail

- ability to follow procedures and work with no supervision after initial training

- reliability and good timekeeping

- proven experience working unsupervised or in a supervisory role

- manage your time in order to meet targets

- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task

- comfortable working under pressure at busy times

- good dexterity

- good computer skills

- previous experience with similar jobs would be ideal but not essential as full training will be given

- some occasional heavy lifting is required (15kg)
