adecco search is recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire engineering technician job near portland, me (biddeford, me) for our client, a busy manufacturer of state-of-the-art products. our client offers a competitive pay rate and excellent benefits. relocation assistance is available. we are seeking a engineering technician with a drive for success to add to their engineering team! 

this new role will provide technical support to engineers during the design of manufacturing processes for production. the position also supports the performance of various processes and evaluations through equipment operation and physical handling of materials. this includes, but is not limited to processing, inspection of materials and acquisition of data to support process documentation and engineering evaluation.

essential job functions:

familiar with various forms of industrial equipment and experience in operating industrial controls

support multiple manufacturing operations and development processes

assists in the development of layouts or floor plans, conduct tests and troubleshoots equipment

documents test procedures and results

maintain process records, lab books and operate recording equipment

prepare equipment for operation and perform post process service to equipment

work with the maintenance team to trouble shoot equipment issues

may assist or train less experienced technicians

participate in root cause analysis (rca) investigations as part of a team

expected to participate in lean activities

expected to maintain all housekeeping items and follow all housekeeping procedures

expected to follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
