these roles will contribute to the delivery of fcdo's annual report and accounts and interim accounts, playing a key role in planning, consolidation. audit and logistics. these roles will also manage fcdo's balance sheet and provide technical advice to programme teams and the wider business and help manage the design and valuation of fcdo's financial assets. you will give effective technical finance support and advice to ensure that fcdo is meeting its statutory obligations.

responsibilities

in this role you will be responsible for:

contributing to fcdo's annual, interim and whole of government accounts.

acting as a key contact during national audit office's interim and year-end audits, liaising across the fcdo to respond to audit requests.

production of fcdo's balance sheet reconciliations. reporting on significant areas of risk.

offering advice and responding to queries from the wider business on fcdo's financial accounting policies (including write offs, vat, fair valuation and taxation issues).

helping to implement recommendations raised by national audit office and internal audit.

working closely with colleagues in the team to support programme teams to design, manage, and exit programmes that involve financial assets.

helping to manage queries from programme teams on financial aspects of programme design, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and delivery
