adecco is currently assisting our local client recruiting for a shipping and receiving associate in san diego ca. this job is a temporary to hire opportunity.
adecco is seeking a shipping and receiving associate who is open to managing inventory.
pay: $20-$22 depending on experience
shift:
monday thru friday
7:00am to 3:30pm
job duties:
counts electronic parts that are in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
compares inventories to records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.
prepares reports such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
prepares list of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.
stocks and issues electronic parts to the production floor.
responsible for preparing items for shipment and keeping records on outgoing shipments.
determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
navigates fedex and ups systems.
packages product to be shipped to customer. affixes shipping labels on outgoing packages.
interacts with carriers for incoming and outgoing product.
ensures packing slips have the correct product, quantity and address.
candidates must meet the following requirements:
able to perform basic math.
able to follow written and verbal instruction.
basic computer skills.
a minimum of 6 months shipping and receiving experience.
