about the role

join a well established team in longwell green, bristol. the majority of your time will be supporting six people across two buildings. you will be part of an experienced and supportive staff team working in a unique and supportive environment where the people we support live in their own flats with access to communal spaces and gardens.

you'll support six mature adults who have a learning disability and autism and may communicate through their behaviour. you'll support them to increase their independence and access to their community. we understand that everyone has different needs so you'll therefore provide tailored day-to-day support. each day is different depending on whom you're supporting; your day could include supporting the individuals with their interests and going out to the pub and cafes, cooking, cleaning, managing finances and shopping. you could also support people with daily routines and personal care and to attend health appointments.

about you

you'll need good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. respectful of people's differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. you don't necessarily need experience as we provide full training.

a full, manual driving licence is desireable for these roles.

full-time support workers for this role work 37.5 hours plus one sleep-in a week (pay for these sleep-ins is included in the annual salary of gbp22,721 - gbp23,145 pa).

you have the option of working additional hours (gbp10.02 - gbp10.24 p/h) or sleep-ins at gbp60 extra per sleep-in, in a range of services.

successful applicants for this role will require an enhanced dbs check.
