Delivery driver - united kingdom, northfleet, kent

we have an opportunity for a delivery driver to join the team based in northfleet, kent on a full time, permanent basis, based on mon – fri / 6:30am-3:00pm. you will receive a salary of £23,500 per annum plus 28 days paid holiday (including the 8 uk bank holidays). paid overtime hours are also available in busy periods.

as our delivery driver your role will be to ensure the correct and timely delivery of orders to restaurants in your designated area (within london and the south east), to provide support in the warehouse such as loading vans, carrying out daily van checks, adhering to health and safety rules and working well as part of a team.

the delivery driver duties and key responsibilities:

- correct and timely delivery of orders to restaurants in your designated area

- ensure that vans are loaded correctly and deliveries made to customers according to the schedule

- ensure that a visual check of the goods being loaded is made, and the order is complete in accordance with a loading inventory

- ensure that the customer is satisfied with the service provided and to note any mistakes made so they can be rectified

- ensure that daily checks are made on vehicles used, basic maintenance undertaken and that records are maintained

- ensure the administrative procedures are followed and records maintained

- ensure that health and safety rules and legislation are complied with for both warehouse work and driving work

our ideal delivery driver will have the below skills and experience:

- full uk drivers licence without endorsements

- history of reliable employment in delivery driving of 3.5 tonne vans

- good knowledge of london and the south east is preferred

- you must have good punctuality and organisational skills

- able to lift safely and repetitively throughout the day

the delivery driver working hours;

working hours are approximately 6:30 am to 3:00 pm monday - friday, additional hours are required in busy periods for which overtime is paid at your standard hourly rate.
