3.5 tonne sofa delivery drivers - united kingdom, leicester, leicestershire

we are seeking professional, reliable people to complete sofa deliveries as well as house and office removals.

sofa deliveries will be with in the east midlands, while removals is nationwide from leicester to any destination in the uk.

heavy lifting will be involved in this role. you will be delivering sofas for our partner to clients homes in the east midlands. the role is 6am till 7am most days and involves heavy lifting and moving of sofas day to day in and out of tight homes and door ways.

from time to time sofa deliveries may need to go up stairs to customers that live in flats, high-rise and apartments.

this will also be the same whether completing a removals or delivering sofas.

we are looking for a reliable, smart, polite driver/delivery person and drivers mates to work as part of a two person furniture and sofa delivery team, delivering sofas and furniture into client's homes, unpacking and assembling the furniture where necessary.

all packaging will need to be removed from the sofa's and brought back to base.

experience in this role is preferred, however full training is provided.

customer service is a key quality requirement for this position. the job is full time working a min of 35.5 hours per week.

the salary is starting at £10 for training which is for 7 days and then £12.00 per hour there after for all drivers. drivers mates training is £10 for 7 days and £10 there after and will be supplemented by some overtime as such a realistic earning potential of £26,000 is realistically achievable for our drivers.

there will be some house removals and work in-store helping with the warehouse and in-store displays from time to time, but the main role will be delivery of sofas and completing professional removals for our clients.

experience in delivery and installation of upholstery, cabinets, beds, wardrobes, dining tables etc is essential for the removals. however full on site training can be provided.

you will be driving a 3.5 tonne luton box van with tail lift.

hgv drivers welcome

we require 3.5 tonne drivers, drivers mates and 2 x class 2 driver for this role.

so a clean driving licence is required. with up to 6 points.

a class 2 12 tonne digital licence is necessary for hgv vehicles

a full license is required as smaller luton vans are used.

good telephone manner and verbal communication is vital.
