adecco is assisting a local manufacturer in recruiting for a current material handler/machine operator opening in winston salem. this is for a temp-to-hire opportunity. as an material handler, you will be responsible for filling requests for materials by reading customer orders to determine items to be moved from receiving or storage areas to production area.
material handler/machine operator- 1st shift
operate table top edging machinery to manufacture shower doors, feed product into machine, check quality of work and take measurement to ensure accuracy.
stocking materials and rotating stock to assure first in, first out (fifo).
organizing, sweeping, dusting, and mopping work area.
performs and manually records physical counts of items assigned on daily basis.
ability to use a tape measurer – will take a brief test to measure in 1/16th of an inch.
qualifications:
prefer manufacturing or warehouse experience. looking for reliable people who can safely handle glass product and accurately measure material, work as part of team and be reliable with attendance.
ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
requires that you be able to lift 30-50 pounds
reliable attendance and punctuality
candidates must have reliable transportation, no public transportation nearby.
