adecco search is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire customer support representative role in fort lauderdale, fl for our client, a reputable global manufacturing company. the customer support representative  role supports the sales and operations teams in communicating with customers and achieving their expectations for parts and service needs within the power generation and maritime industries. our client is looking for a candidate with 1-2 years of demonstrated work experience in a customer-interface role and general business process understanding

responsibilities for the customer support representative job in fort lauderdale, fl include:

process and maintain customer purchase orders; communicate internally/externally on order status updates as needed

assist with customer quotation requests per established price list and input from sales team

generate customer account summaries and inquire on past due receivables

solicit quotations from 3rd party vendors for external parts needs

code accounts payables and route for approval and processing

qualifications:

high school diploma required

1-2 years of demonstrated work experience in customer-interface role and general business process understanding

prior experience with erp systems (sap) strongly desirable

solid knowledge of computer systems and software applications

able to multi-task, detail-oriented and able to prioritize workload efficiently

solid understanding of the sales process
