we have an excellent career opportunity for the role of registered manager to join our team here at ibc healthcare at our supported living services based in birmingham.

the successful candidate will hold the registration for and manage 4 supported living sites, located in the following area's - kings norton, acocks green, x2 in sutton coldfield. our ideal candidate should have previously been cqc registered and had experience with supported living, ld, autism and challenging behaviours.

contract: full-time, permanent contract.

salary: gbp35,000 - gbp40,000 per annum based on experience

hours: 40 hours a week, full time role monday to friday 9am till 5pm, willing to participate in on call.

overview: ibc healthcare supported living is a specialist community support provider for people from the age of 18 with learning and/or physical disabilities, profound and multiple/severe learning disabilities, individuals on the autism spectrum and those with behaviours that challenge. this is a new service within the company and currently supports 3 individuals to live independently in the city and county.

key experience, requirements and qualifications:

2 years' experience as a care support manager through prior employment

calm natured and patient

good communication skills

good problem solving skills

flexible working methods

knowledge and experience of working with adults at risk.

ongoing involvement to develop professional development

full driving licence.

key responsibilities:

to lead by example, and develop effective teams within the service.

develop a positive working environment which nurtures and rewards good practice through a programme of training and development.

ensure the service is in line with ibc healthcare policies and procedures.

ensure processes are in place to adhere to local authority contract and cqc requirements.

develop a culture which enables staff members to maximise their development and create areas of expertise within the service which benefits the service and those it supports.

undertake monthly quality assessment audits to ensure a continuously improving service is provided.

to oversee and provide guidance for referrals to the service, ensuring a prompt and efficient approach is used at all times.

continuing to develop and maintain the services reputation within the sector, by building new and maintaining existing connections with cqc, local authority, healthcare professionals and commissioning authorities.

monitor kpi's and compliance of the service, with the support of the quality and assurance manager

to create and develop links with the service and the community, to engage the individuals in meaningful activities that encourage them to be active members of the community.

develop the services that will encourage working aged adults to develop their skills and gain valuable life experience.
