Factory worker - united kingdom, eye, suffolk
hales group are recruiting production operatives / factory workers to join our client based in eye, suffolk on a permanent basis.
hours rotate between the below:
monday to thursday - 6.00am to 2.30pm
friday - 6.00am to 11.30am
monday to thursday - 2.30pm to 11.00pm
friday - 11.30am to 5.00pm
production operative duties:
to be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard including self-checking and inspection of your own and colleagues' work.
to ensure identification of components on completion of work and its placement in the correct areas.
to work with minimum supervision.
to take part in the continuous improvement activities, to develop and improve production methods and / or company efficiency.
to undertake any training that is required to enhance the skills base.
to carry out tasks in any department when required.
to be fully aware of the company's quality and environmental procedures and work instructions.
to accurately complete job bookings through the computer entry operating systems.
to ensure good communication with both colleagues and supervision.
to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be requested giving due regard to your existing status.
to promote excellence in terms of personal and plant safety and approach through personal conduct.
to maintain an ongoing awareness of the current fire safety and evacuation procedures.
reporting any equipment issues to team leader/maintenance supervisor.
to carry out basic quality and testing checks.
maintaining your work area and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
to complete a variety of tasks in any department as required.
