working pattern: mostly monday to friday all hours, occasional weekend work.
the company: we provide storage, transport and installation service to interior designers, high end luxury furniture designers and shop window prop designers. we are a specialist logistics firm and most of the services we provide needs the same skill set as required in the removals industry. therefore experience in the removals industry is a must. our storage warehouse in south london next to ikea in croydon.
what we do on a daily basis:
• once we have taken on a project, we will receive all the furniture/props to our storage warehouse. at which point we will check all the items to make sure nothing is damaged. this information along with photos of the item is uploaded to our online inventory system.
• after receiving all the items to our warehouse, which usually takes a few weeks, we will deliver the items to the site. the site can be a residential home, hotel, restaurant, high end retail store (harrods, selfridges etc) or a show home.
• we do not just deliver, we also setup the furniture/props and remove all the packaging. there is furniture assembly involved in this process.
person specification: this opportunity will suit a candidate who has experience in the removals industry. our preferred candidate will be someone who has led a team in removals.

have leadership skills
be able to speak excellent english
ideally, you will also have previous experience in removals. we care about progression at work. we will support loyal staff to get qualified to drive larger vehicles by paying for training once you have been with the company and learned the role. this will usually involve a pay rise too.
