administration/finance assistant, castle donington, gbp26,990 per annum

we are recruiting for administration assistant to work within a small accounts receivable team, working for a national utilities company based at their depot in castle donington. you will be responsible for carrying out required administrative and associated accounts receivable activities efficiently and accurately. this could suit a bright graduate or college leaver who is numerate and has some basic office skills or experience, looking to further their career. this role is to start asap so you will need to be available immediately.

in return you will receive an excellent hourly rate, 26 days holiday + bank holidays after 12 weeks, ongoing training and support and free parking. this is a temporary role, intially for 6 months with the likelihood of being extended and opportunities to apply for permanent roles within the business. hours are 37.5 per week, monday to friday.

responsibiliites of the administration assistant will include:

collecting daily external and internal mail from post room, opening and logging on relevant spreadsheet, dispersing to relevant team member or department.

collecting daily chasing letters from office printer, checking credit control notes, enveloping and posting out via internal mail room. also scanning in and emailing out to any companies who have requested email as opposed to postal copies. updating relevant spreadsheet.

being responsible for the organisation and distribution of emails received into the credit control mailbox - ensuring customer queries are acknowledged and past onto relevant team within set sla timescales.

posting or emailing copies of invoices/ statements etc as and when requested

generating lba's and issuing via letter and/or email

basic credit control chasing via phone, email and/or letter.

other general clerical duties as required.

a good team player with a flexible approach to work.

initial training will be provided with subsequent on job training as experience increases.

skills, knowledge and expertise

5 gcses at grade c or above (or equivalent) of which 2 must be in maths and english.

advanced microsoft skills especially in excel

proficient writing skills.

good interpersonal skills and self confident with the ability to work unsupervised.

good verbal communication skills.
