my client in the columbus, oh area is seeking a candidate who is excited and comfortable working with numbers to fill our plant accountant opening. the person in this role will have responsibilities for the following duties and will report to the plant controller.   

responsibilities & qualifications

responsibilities:

participate in month-end plant closing:

prepare assigned journal entries

work with rpna accounting to reconcile intercompany accounts

prepare balance sheet reconciliations

complete month-end reporting documents as assigned

provide detailed analysis of plant cash conversion spending to department managers

maintain plant internal control policies in accordance with sox requirements

conduct internal audits with regards to plant internal control policies

fixed assets – track projects and validate project savings

assist in productivity savings tracking

complete daily & weekly plant reports as assigned

assist plant controller in the preparation of monthly forecasts/annual plans

participate in plant’s operating system:

active participant in daily meetings

participate in assigned items with regards to coil coating business

general accounts payable duties

qualifications:

bachelor’s degree in accounting required. mba and/or cpa preferred.

experience in manufacturing is desired.

the ideal candidate will have intermediate knowledge of microsoft office applications, especially excel, word and powerpoint.

experience with oracle and hyperion is desired

effective interpersonal communication is imperative whether it is in person, in writing or via telephone.

exceptional organizational and prioritization skills are necessary to meet deadlines and maintain documentation.

must be able to work in a fast paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.
