product engineer - npi medical systems salary - gbp40k-gbp65k depending on level of experience, plus 15% bonus and numerous excellent benefits location basingstoke our client is a highly successful expanding 3d medical imaging company. they have a friendly team working in a vibrant culture on a high-tech product. the successful candidate will provide the bridge between development and production and work closely with these teams and qa in the introduction of new products and support the lifecycles of current products. the product engineer will be responsible for preparing new products for production and monitor and improve production processes. this role provides the opportunity to become a key member of a team of engineers working on exciting medical systems that make a real improvement to patients lives. this opportunity is open to both candidates at a junior level and those with more experience. responsibilities product engineer include, but not limited to: design transfer from development to production. ensure seamless transfer into production workflow in timely manner. support purchasing team on a technical level and interact with supply chain on non-conforming products and alternative component sourcing component/system testing prior to formal product testing, this will serve as a method of gaining familiarity with new products before they are ready for release. investigation of build issues as they arise and supporting qa with complaint investigations development of production test tools and specify test software. work with the production team to introduce ensure effective product handover and respond to feedback. take part in design reviews. involvement with other parties in the change order process. collaborative working with all stakeholders. continuation engineering and minimise the impact of component obsolescence support emc and safety testing. analyse information and trends from the production line assisting with product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes engineering tasks required to support and maintain the quality assurance within all product manufacturing essential skills and experience re product engineer and continuation engineer: hnd or bachelor s degree in electronic engineering, engineering, or related discipline working knowledge and experience of electronics and systems excellent it skills ability to coordinate day to day technical activities, liaising closely with the other members of the development team strong problem-solving skills a good eye for detail excellent communication (oral & written) & interpersonal skills desirable: experience of manufacturing process and quality requirements schematic and pcb cad design and/or mechanical cad experience/skills appreciation of mechanical design aspects. strong analytical, test and hardware debugging skills experience of reading schematics and data sheets to assist in software and hardware debugging strong build, debug, and test skills, comfortable with using test equipment (dmms, oscilloscopes, logic analysers) and software debug tools keywords npi, production engineer, manufacturing engineer, development, r&d, new products, medical systems, emc, safety testing, electronics, pcb cad, mechanical cad, analytical, continuation engineer, development, systems testing product engineer and continuation engineer - npi medical systems
