the firm, a york-based niche employment practice, is seeking a specialist employment solicitor to join their existing 5 fee-earner team, and to play an active part in the firm’s growth plans. with a shared purpose of only “doing work we enjoy with clients we like”, the firm and its partners are already highly ranked in both legal500 and chambers & partners and “punch above their weight” [chambers 2023] when it comes to the calibre of the work and the clients they act for. the addition of another fee-earner will enable the team to capitalise on opportunities to provide market-leading advice to more renowned local and national employers and high-profile senior executives.

skills and experience:

qualified solicitor with experience of developing own client relationships and delivering client-facing advice. while our preference would be for a qualified employment solicitor, we are open to applications from qualified solicitors in other areas
with a strong eye for attention to detail, you’ll be able to use your initiative and prioritise client demands while ensuring that our quality standards are maintained
ability to work collaboratively and as part of a close team
you will have business development experience including networking and presenting, and an appetite to build on this further
