as part of our long-term strategy, the charity is undergoing a process of digital transformation. the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing our marketing and communications capabilities so that we can thrive in the digital environment.
the successful candidate for this role will have a proven track-record of managing effective, segmented, multi-channel marketing activity that delivers results. you will also be responsible for developing our brand, marketing and communications (internal and external) strategies.
key objectives:
- build brand awareness, positive reputation and ongoing support
- working with internal stakeholders to develop a cohesive 'supporter experience' across online & offline channels, maximise supporter engagement
- leading the process of digital marketing transformation to maximise opportunities available from digital channels
- ensuring our range of programmes, events and retail outlets are properly marketed and communicated
- acting as a sounding board for internal stakeholders who have responsibility for running their own campaigns
main duties & responsibilities:
- leading the process of digital marketing transformation, working with other teams to provide them with the tools, support and expertise to achieve their objectives
- coordinate and support development of 'digital supporter experience' working with team leads to develop & deploy digital communications
- ensure that all operational media/press is managed & planned in conjunction with operational leads & building on brand awareness
- work in conjunction with the clinical leads to ensure that all press / media calls regarding missions are dealt with
- work in conjunction with fundraising and retail to increase income generation by advising on marketing & communication strategies
- regularly review performance of the marketing & communications activities, ensuring maximum coverage & penetration
- manage the marketing budget to ensure strategic imperatives of the marketing & communications strategy are delivered
- be an ambassador, providing stakeholders with the advice regarding appropriate use of the charity's brand identity
- ensure that marketing and communications activities take full advantage of digital marketing, social media, analytics, effectively promoting digital campaign reach and successes
- manage third party providers as necessary
- manage the charity's social media presence and website
- provide regular progress reports including delivery of key performance indicators as required
