our client runs a number of bus and coach franchises across the country, hiring 1,300 employees.
we're looking for a transport planner / allocator for our depot in burton on trent. we are looking for someone who takes ownership, has a positive "can do" attitude and is a good communicator. the role will be dealing with customers as well as drivers, so if you're great at building strong relationships this role could be for you.
in this role you will be:
planning driver time to ensure drivers are utilised and costs are kept to a minimumallocate drivers taking into account holidays, sick etckeep bus services running, react to problems and be proactive with road closures and roadworkshandle customer complaints
the ideal candidate will have:
excellent customer service skillsreliable, conscientious with the ability to take ownership of issuesself-motivated with a positive “can do” attitude to all taskseffective communication skills, both written and verbalexcellent knowledge and understanding of microsoft office;good customer service experience
the role will be 40 hours per week, monday to friday with a great salary of £13.50 per hour
