responsibilities for this maintenance mechanic job include:
performs equipment preventative maintenance services using appropriate checklist; inspects, analyzes, and diagnoses all machine and assembly component problems and defects.
performs all needed adjustments, repairs, replacement and installs machine and assembly components; ensures that all guards removed are properly replaced.
accounts for all labor, parts, and operational supplies in an accurate and timely fashion.
responds to breakdowns in a prompt and appropriate manner.
wears personal protective equipment as required by company
ensures safe and proper use of tools and equipment; maintains neat and orderly work area.
practices and complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and other work rules; includes compliance with all regulatory mandates, such as lockout/tag out, electrical safety, and confined spaces.
qualifications:
high school diploma required. a bs in engineering or a related technical field is preferred or extensive hands-on experience in maintenance and project installations.
demonstrated understanding of preventative maintenance and experience in plant maintenance is desirable.
must be able to demonstrate at least a basic understanding of scales, calculators, hand tools, copier, fax, pc, printer, etc.
to perform this job successfully, an individual must be advanced in ms office, especially with excel and outlook.
must be available to work 5am – 2pm or 8:30pm – 5am, monday – friday.
