an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations & sales assistant to join a well-established company based in ellesmere port, cheshire.

about the role:

an exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established manufacturing oem business and become a valued member of their operations team; you must have solid previous experience within a similar roll working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

you will be responsible for:

processing incoming machine orders and placing them into the build schedule, whilst liaising with the operations manager and sales manager. assisting operations manager in updating build schedule on completion of machines. providing information from our pricing guide to dealers for part numbers, prices, and stock availability. spare parts orders. this includes processing any spare parts orders and picking the items ready for despatch. oem parts in line with scheduling requirements as set by operations manager. this involves raising and sending purchase orders based on 3 – 6 months look ahead, usually only done in a 3- 6-month cycle and is not a weekly requirement. organising transportation of completed machines for uk & europe when required and that are not being delivered by our own transportation, this is done by liaising with an external haulage company. liaising with our finance department for invoice sign off for procured spare parts invoices, including for month end. printing and collating operators manuals and spare parts booklets to go out with completed machines. working closely and with guidance from operations manager, ensuring stock levels are maintained for scheduled requirements, this being mainly for oem parts (every 3 – 6-month cycle only). booking and arranging requirements for trade shows from time to time. this would involve liaising with sales team and md

candidate requirements:

be reporting directly and working closely with the operations manager. be required to work closely with assembly team leader to ensure completed machines are recorded onto build schedule. be required to work with accounts and sales team as and when required. be an excellent team player with attention to detail, be self-motivated and the ability to work under pressure, whilst meeting schedule deadlines – essential. have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment – essential. have experience or have had some exposure in ordering parts and tracking delivery progress - essential. have experience in using xero - advantageous, but not essential. have experience in stock control – advantageous, but not essential. have experience using excel and microsoft office - essential.

qualifications:

5 x gcse or equivalent. edcl qualification – advantageous, but not essential. cips qualified – advantageous, but not essential.
