Material handler - united states, montpelier (vermont)

adecco has a great opportunity for a material handler in colchester, vt with pay starting at $18.50/hour.

 

responsibilities:

assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing orders to sales associates for processing

read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped

assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed

complete your work in a safe manner; adhere to all safety policies and procedures

must be able to lift, push or pull at least 75 pounds pallet jack/dolly

ability to load and unload trucks

 

requirements:

high school diploma or equivalent ged

standing for long periods of time; moving at a steady pace

capable of lifting up to 49 lbs. on your own with or without pallet jack/dolly (depending on product)

lifting requirements 50-75 lbs. (team lift) pallet jack/dolly without pallet jack/dolly depending on product

proactive: finished with task, ask what’s next

using a drill – (and other tools to put peloton bike)

this site has a high % of unloading and loading trailers that have cabinets, which require usage of a hand cart (dolly).

 

 

shifts:

monday, wednesday, friday: 12:30pm – 5:30pm

each day you are expected to be prepared to stay 1-2 hours after your shift ends, this is mandatory; you must you notify mgt team 24 hours before, if you can't stay longer than your scheduled shift
