Material handler - united states, montpelier (vermont)

adecco has a great opportunity for a material handler in colchester, vt with pay starting at $18.50/hour.

 

responsibilities:

  • assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing orders to sales associates for processing
  • read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped
  • assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed
  • complete your work in a safe manner; adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • must be able to lift, push or pull at least 75 pounds pallet jack/dolly
  • ability to load and unload trucks
  •  

    requirements:

  • high school diploma or equivalent ged
  • standing for long periods of time; moving at a steady pace
  • capable of lifting up to 49 lbs. on your own with or without pallet jack/dolly (depending on product)
  • lifting requirements 50-75 lbs. (team lift) pallet jack/dolly without pallet jack/dolly depending on product
  • proactive: finished with task, ask what’s next
  • using a drill – (and other tools to put peloton bike)
  • this site has a high % of unloading and loading trailers that have cabinets, which require usage of a hand cart (dolly).

    shifts:

  • monday, wednesday, friday: 12:30pm – 5:30pm
  • each day you are expected to be prepared to stay 1-2 hours after your shift ends, this is mandatory; you must you notify mgt team 24 hours before, if you can't stay longer than your scheduled shift
