Sr. operations supervisor - united states, albany (georgia)
adecco has a great opportunity for a sr. operations supervisorin buford, ga with pay starting at $22.00/hour. this hands-on, temp to hire position will supervise and oversee distribution/logistics processes and implementation of warehouse businesses in a facility and monitoring operational performance levels and regularly interfacing with our customers.
responsibilities:
supervise a team of employees and temporary agency workers that are responsible for receiving, and/or associated inventory processes
hands-on testing, refurbing, packout, receiving, and shipping functions; manage employees within these departments to assure the work is getting done
hold team accountable to production targets and standards; assuring goals are met daily
maintain customer compliance requirements for accuracy and processing times
train employees on department procedures and processes and ensure that the procedures are closely adhered to; coach and motivate employees to meet job expectations
counsel employees on performance metrics and document deficiencies
complete employee attendance records and monitor for adherence to policy; prepare corrective actions, when necessary
prepare, maintain, and analyze various customer and internal reports, noting trends and actionable items
prepare action plans for new and/or existing processes that maximized efficiencies while maintaining exceptional quality standards
establishes usage controls and makes necessary adjustments
generates daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required, research orders for customer and report results
other duties as assigned
requirements:
2 to 3+ years’ experience supervising a diverse team in a fast-paced environment (preferred)
technical degree or certification (preferred)
2 to 3 years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory control environment
solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes
experience with rf devices and a solid understanding of a wms, sap, and tms (preferred)
proven ability to lead and motivate others; demonstrated management and conflict resolution skills; strong leadership ability
excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate others; professional verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational and analytical skills
proactive problem-solving ability
knowledge with financial skills/background (preferred)
intermediate excel experience and the ability to generate reports
background in telecommunications (preferred)
shifts:
monday-friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
optional overtime
