Senior user experience (ux/ui) designer - united states, columbus (georgia)

adecco creative & marketing is recruiting a senior user experience (ux/ui) designer for a fully remote, temporary/temporary-to-hire opportunity with a large national retailer headquartered in columbus, oh. this publicly traded company has more than 1400 stores in 47 states and employs more than 35,000 employees. they are dedicated to building a best place to work culture and doing good as they do well by making a difference to the people they serve.

 

the senior ux/ui designer will be responsible for researching, analyzing, designing, and testing user experiences for new and existing products and features with a heavier focus on the ui side of design.

 

responsibilities:

lead the execution of ux/ui projects and provide guidance to other team members as needed.

turn business needs, processes, requirements, and/or user stories into design solutions,

analyze site metrics and business needs and suggest improvements

lead ux research and design review sessions

create, maintain, update, and enforce ux guidelines and ui design system

create wireframes, prototypes, and visual mockups of ui designs

create site and customer journey maps.

conduct, design, and participate in usability tests and research.

 

qualifications

a portfolio of work demonstrating the ability to create digital experiences and user interfaces is required. please include a link to your portfolio on your resume, and/or additional attachment(s). candidates who do not provide work examples will not be considered.

associate’s degree or equivalent experience in interaction, product, web, and/or graphic design

5+ years of experience as a ui or ux designer

expert proficiency in tools used to create user interface designs, prototypes, wireframes, etc. (adobe xd, axure, omnigraffle, balsamiq, or equivalent), and the entire adobe creative suite

working knowledge of html, javascript, or css

adept at communicating design approaches to non-design audiences

skilled in responsive web and mobile design principles and technologies

experience working with complex product requirements

knowledge of accessibility standards

ability to work in an iterative, agile/scrum environment

user research (usability tests, surveys, etc.) experience

preferred

located in the columbus, oh metro area

expert proficiency in adobe xd

strong knowledge of online marketing and retail best practices and seo related to site design

experience participating in user research (usability tests, surveys, etc.)
