the role

we have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of support worker in bedford.

clarence house in bedford is our second homeless hostel. this purpose-built hostel has 29 self-contained studio apartments with a team of support staff available 24/7, including specialist support officers to assist residents with a range of complex needs.

salary: gbp23,303.00 per year

hours: 37.5 hours per week on a rolling rota, early & late shifts

location: bedford (mk42 0ah)

your responsibilities will include:

key work sessions

working with and supporting a range of customers with various complex needs including mental health, homelessness, substance misuse

support to develop the necessary skills to live independently, and to access training, education, and work

the successful candidate will:

possess genuine passion of making a real difference in people's lives.

have experience and knowledge of safeguarding legislation including ability to recognize safeguarding issues.

have knowledge of the housing sector and one housing group's activities.

have experience working within a similar support worker role
