cashier/customer service advisor
we are looking for a cashier to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently.
cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. to be successful in this role, we are looking for sone previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate but this is not essential as full training will be provided. you should also be available to take evening and weekend shifts.
ultimately, you’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction. your position will entail meeting and greeting with our customers, taking orders over the phone and accepting web orders from our till system. you will be required to highlight important changes such as dietary requirements or allergies to keep the kitchen upto date.
responsibilities
manage transactions with customers using cash registers
advise customers on menu items and suggestions.
collect payments whether in cash or credit
issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
redeem vouchers
cross-sell products and introduce new ones
resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
greet customers when entering or leaving the store
maintain clean and tidy checkout
take orders face to face, via the phone and by our web system.
highlight tickets to make the kitchen aware of any changes/dietary requirements.
requirements and skills
work experience in a restaurant/takeaway/cashier position preferred but not essential as all training is required.
basic pc knowledge
familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and pos
good math skills
strong communication and time management skills
customer satisfaction-oriented

starting salaries are as below with an option to increase after passing the probation period.
under 18 - £7.50
18-20 - £8.50
20+ - £10.00
shifts are available weekends with scope to increase depending on skill level after 3 months.
