Production group/line leader - united states, columbia (tennessee)

adecco is proud to partner with tritium, a specialist designer and manufacturer of power-electronic systems and chargers, helping fill a production group leader opportunity in lebanon, tn. this position focuses on the day-to-day operations of a lean production line, directly supervising the manufacturing operations on 1 or 2 lines that assemble an ev charging product.  

 

key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • supervise one (or more) of the production lines (end-to-end) in the pursuit of achieving the managerial objectives.
  • oversee the day-to-day operations and direct activities of the production assembler’s, to ensure products are manufactured on-schedule, in the right sequence, to the required quality standard.
  • drive the production team to achieve the established targets for safety, people, quality (difot, oee, rft etc)
  • assist with the hiring and coaching of hourly production team members, conducting team member training / coaching when required.
  • support all lean / 5s initiatives. • support all vsm and line balancing activities.
  • liaise with engineering, supply chain, quality, and other internal departments when ‘line stoppage’ escalation is required.
  • support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce production variances.
  • completes issue and/or incident forms timely, participates in investigations and is a part of the solution for improved quality and/or safety.
  • schedule overtime / weekend work for the manufacturing operations.
  • ensure that all safety practices are in compliance with the relevant policies & rules are being enforced.
  • deliver regular performance checkins with their team and conduct performance management in line with the annual tritium wide program. 
  •  

    qualifications and competencies:

  • diploma in engineering, or other related discipline with a manufacturing or process engineering emphasis
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years’ experience working directly with incident / issue reporting systems, with a general knowledge in the corresponding systems / tools / procedures (8d, redx, 5y’s etc.)
