Production group/line leader - united states, columbia (tennessee)

adecco is proud to partner with tritium, a specialist designer and manufacturer of power-electronic systems and chargers, helping fill a production group leader opportunity in lebanon, tn. this position focuses on the day-to-day operations of a lean production line, directly supervising the manufacturing operations on 1 or 2 lines that assemble an ev charging product.  

 

key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

supervise one (or more) of the production lines (end-to-end) in the pursuit of achieving the managerial objectives.

oversee the day-to-day operations and direct activities of the production assembler’s, to ensure products are manufactured on-schedule, in the right sequence, to the required quality standard.

drive the production team to achieve the established targets for safety, people, quality (difot, oee, rft etc)

assist with the hiring and coaching of hourly production team members, conducting team member training / coaching when required.

support all lean / 5s initiatives. • support all vsm and line balancing activities.

liaise with engineering, supply chain, quality, and other internal departments when ‘line stoppage’ escalation is required.

support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce production variances.

completes issue and/or incident forms timely, participates in investigations and is a part of the solution for improved quality and/or safety.

schedule overtime / weekend work for the manufacturing operations.

ensure that all safety practices are in compliance with the relevant policies & rules are being enforced.

deliver regular performance checkins with their team and conduct performance management in line with the annual tritium wide program. 

 

qualifications and competencies:

diploma in engineering, or other related discipline with a manufacturing or process engineering emphasis

3+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment

1+ years’ experience working directly with incident / issue reporting systems, with a general knowledge in the corresponding systems / tools / procedures (8d, redx, 5y’s etc.)
