primary duties & responsibilities
general pc and user it support
problems logged via the it helpdesk
liaise with users to determine issues and resolve
liaise with users to discuss requirements and offer solutions
ability to cope with changing priorities and pressures
working as part of a team or unsupervised
hardware and accessory management
asses user requirements and source new computers through the purchasing group
utilize automated and manual tracking methods to maintain a current inventory of available pc's and accessories
on-site infrastructure support
monitor and support on-site it infrastructure
coordinate with the functional ii-vi it teams (ex: networking, storage, cyber security, etc.) to deploy upgrades & replacements as needed
requirements
minimum 2 years it experience within a similar environment
it experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
bs/ms in computer science, engineering, or equivalent degree/certifications
strong communication skills to effectively provide solutions and guidance to all levels of users
