primary duties & responsibilities

  • general pc and user it support
  • problems logged via the it helpdesk
  • liaise with users to determine issues and resolve
  • liaise with users to discuss requirements and offer solutions
  • ability to cope with changing priorities and pressures
  • working as part of a team or unsupervised
  • hardware and accessory management
  • asses user requirements and source new computers through the purchasing group
  • utilize automated and manual tracking methods to maintain a current inventory of available pc's and accessories
  • on-site infrastructure support
  • monitor and support on-site it infrastructure
  • coordinate with the functional ii-vi it teams (ex: networking, storage, cyber security, etc.) to deploy upgrades & replacements as needed
  • requirements

  • minimum 2 years it experience within a similar environment
  • it experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • bs/ms in computer science, engineering, or equivalent degree/certifications
  • strong communication skills to effectively provide solutions and guidance to all levels of users
