an excellent opportunity for an experienced streetworks administrator / coordinator to join a well-established company based in lancashire!

about the role:

operating from our head office in leyland, lancashire, we are a growing company with a solid customer base who specialise in ehv /hv installations utilising a variety of methods. we undertake a number of infrastructure activities including ehv and hv cable routing, ducting and cable installation.

due to a significant contract award and our continued commitment to overall company growth, the company is now seeking to strengthen and develop their streetworks team and has a position available for an administrator/coordinator.

role responsibilities:

assist with all aspects of permit scheme and section 50 licence projects as required liaise with operational teams to ensure all projects have the appropriate paperwork and notices in place for works to begin, whilst meeting clients' operational requirements in a professional and efficient manner identify street works issues and apply early intervention, escalating street works compliance issues where appropriate liaise with local authority's and client representatives as directed by the streetworks manager coordinate with other 3rd parties e.g., parking suspensions, bus stop suspensions, road closures etc provide a positive and innovative input into the team, through provision of solutions to problems and embracing change.

candidate requirements:

excellent communication skills (email/phone/face to face) a good standard of it skills in order to create and maintain management spreadsheets and reports strong team player but also able to work as an individual in a busy environment under pressure ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management skills in order to meet deadlines experience in using the street manager / symology noticing system with a sound knowledge of the new roads and streetworks act 1991, traffic management act 2004 and compliance procedures a good understanding of section 50 licence applications and the supporting documentation required minimum 2 years' experience within a similar role in the utilities industry is essential.

the package:

28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays. the role is full-time and office based, with the possibility of remote working for the right candidate. hours of work are normally monday to friday 8.00 am - 4.30 pm. workplace pension scheme.
