program manager ii - position description

our community of more than ten million users come to to learn, compete, and collaborate on the cutting edge of machine learning. we are best known for running machine learning competitions, for hosting public datasets, and for our cloud-based data science workbench.

overall responsibilities:

discovering process gaps and variations.

identify, define, design and develop new processes that can be maintained and updated to create repeatable processes and tools. 

manage and update ongoing communications across the program for the various key stakeholder groups, both internally and externally.

top 3 daily responsibilities:

creating processes around partnerships and collaborations (working with legal on contracting, etc.)

helping to track, drive and coordinate large technical projects

working with the development teams, identifying new processes and designing them.

skill/experience/education

mandatory

- bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of program management experience
- ability to collaborate across a diverse & distributed team
- strong analytical skills in applying data to understand and solve problems.
- previous experience with google workspace (spreadsheets, docs, etc.)
- strong technical aptitude, ability to understand products and work with technical teams
- professional written and verbal communication with attention to detail

desired 

- preferred previous experience as a program manager in the tech industry
- proficiency in sql statistics and sophisticated data analysis
- experience writing technical educational materials
- previous experience with kaggle
- pgm certification
