Cook - united states, bowling green (kentucky)

adecco is currently assisting the western kentucky veterans center in hanson, ky to fill several cook positions.  this is a full time, long-term opportunity. as a cook, you will be responsible for preparing items for a variety of dietary needs.  apply now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

 

pay rate: $12.00

hours: 530am – 2pm, 11am – 730pm, 730am – 4pm

 

responsibilities for this cook job include:

prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner

determines food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours.

prepares all special dietary need as directed by the menus.

monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are always upheld.

ensures the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes.

tastes and prepares food to determine quality.

maintains or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.

assists with orientation and training of new kitchen employees.

practices all safety and loss prevention procedures.

attends all in-services as required.

follows all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling.

assists with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules.

other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

qualifications:

high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

previous experience in fine dining preferred.

previous experience as a cook in a senior living community preferred.

successful completion of recognized food safety course preferred.
