adecco is looking for a candidate to fill a site specialist position in middletown, va.
this is a 1st shift position, mon-fri , 8-hour shift. 
eligible to convert to full time 
pay-27.50

qualifications:
education:
• high school diploma or ged.

experience:
knowledge, skills, abilities:
• 1 to 3 years of previous warehouse/manufacturing/assembly experience
• strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to deal with different levels of personnel at the customer site.
• must deliver excellent customer service including always maintaining a professional appearance.
• operating skills to use handheld scanners and learn to enter data in various systems as needed.
• must be proficient with a computer and the microsoft office suite of software.
• show concern for the well-being & success of others.
• expanded tactical thinking that considers the impact on the broader organization.
• must be organized and detailed to prioritize own and others’ work and meet business efficiency metrics.
• listen to customer concerns, diffuse dissatisfaction, and quickly identify a course of action with first call resolution within established turnaround times.
• attend required training sessions
• participate in projects and perform all other duties as assigned
• the ability to read, write and speak english
• displays a high level of confidentiality for both customers and thermo fisher
• experience in laboratory setting or services preferred; experience in glp/gmp environment preferred
• a proactive approach to problem-solving
• adapt to flexible and changing schedules on short notice
• ability to self-manage and operate independently
• strong time management and project management skills

working conditions:
• works primarily at customer locations, in an office environment including cubicles and in and around shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, storage locations, and laboratory environments
• will work independently at customer location
• extensive walking throughout the site
• may pass through areas where chemical-based allergens may be in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc.)
• ability to lift, push and pull 30-50 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 lbs.
• may be able to use material handling equipment such as push carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• depending on the area of the building, personal protective equipment may be worn, including lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets, and safety gloves.
• some areas require steel toe shoes, bump hats, and safety glasses

a day in the life:
• reviewing, crafting, and sustaining company data log sheets
• follows well-defined procedures as outlined by best practices, sops & work instructions. take direction from the site supervisor/manager regarding daily duties.
• communicates with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems
• delivery of packages within stockrooms and laboratory environment
• ordering of stockroom supplies
• providing customer support to clients
• performing area audits of cross-functional areas within uls
• work effectively with global cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve field failures on product
• performs other responsibilities to support the needs of the department as assigned by supervisor.
