futures care supports people with complex needs to live as independently as possible in their own home in the community in the gloucestershire area.

we are a cqc regulated service rated as good.

we are looking for a care coordinator to join a successful rapidly expanding care team. this role will involve providing support to a team of care managers through rota covering and planning, dealing with sickness and absence, back to work interviews and other administrative duties as requested to support the day-to-day care function of the business. you will also be required to take part in the on-call rota.

key responsibilities

to work in partnership with the management team to deliver an outcome driven service.

rota coordination in conjunction with care mangers and the allocation of staff to shifts.

dealing with urgent rota needs, sickness cover, the effect on the rota and re-allocating staff accordingly during business hours and on-call.

maintaining and updating the care management system at all times.

to liaise with recruitment to bring forward new care staff to the rota's.

participate on the office duty rota and ensure effective running of all duty processes.

production of reports and management information as required.

to ensure compliance with all office systems and procedures

skills and abilities:

proactive and innovative

clear and concise interpersonal skills, both written and spoken

be confident working in working with staff teams

ability to work under pressure and within time constraints

good methodical working practices

strong administration and computer skills

experience and knowledge:

essential:

at least 1 years' experience of working as a senior care worker

be nvq level 3 qualified in health and social care or willing to work towards it

experiencing of supervising a team and managing others in a care environment.
